Kirklees Well-being Walks

‘Kirklees Well-being walks’ (formerly known as Walking for Health walks) is a joint enterprise between Kirklees Council and the Ramblers providing a varied programme of health walks designed to get local people into regular walking. These free walks are led by trained volunteers and are suitable for all ages and abilities, particularly if you have not walked regularly for some time. They are also a great way to meet new people and enjoy a chat whilst doing something that can benefit your health in the fresh air.

The health walks range from half an hour, up to an hour and a half in duration and always at a steady pace. If you need something a bit more challenging we also offer "health walk plus walks" which a bit further and at a faster pace. Don't worry no one gets left behind so come and give it a go.

To see the health benefits of walking 30 minutes a day, visit this excellent site:- https://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/health/healthyliving/walking-for-good-health

These walks are very relaxed, they always have a bit of a wildlife theme. The route and distance varies and depends on the numbers and abilities on the day.
