Our journey begins in the charming village of Seathwaite, nestled in the Borrowdale Valley. Surrounded by lush greenery and with the soothing sounds of the River Derwent, take a moment to appreciate the picturesque setting before we commence our ascent.
As we trek along the scenic paths, we'll pass the tranquil Styhead Tarn, a reflective mountain lake surrounded by imposing peaks. The trail then leads us onto the challenging but rewarding Corridor Route, offering breath-taking views of the surrounding valleys and crags.
Traversing the path beside Lingmell Beck, our journey takes us through the awe-inspiring Hollow Stones. Here, you'll witness the grandeur of the surrounding cliffs and the dramatic landscapes that set the stage for our ascent to the summit of Scafell Pike.
As we ascend the final slopes, the rugged terrain gives way to panoramic vistas. Reaching the summit of Scafell Pike, stand triumphantly at the highest point in England. Marvel at the sweeping views of the Lake District fells, valleys, and distant lakes, creating a sense of accomplishment that only the summit of Scafell Pike can provide.
Our guided walk concludes back in Seathwaite Village, where you can unwind at the cozy Seathwaite Tearoom. Share tales of your summit triumph over a cup of tea and savor a well-deserved treat, surrounded by the warmth and hospitality of the Lake District.
This guided walk is designed for adventurous souls seeking the thrill of conquering Scafell Pike while immersing themselves in the unparalleled beauty of the Lake District. Lace up your boots, join our experienced guides, and let the Summit Sojourn from Seathwaite to Scafell Pike be a pinnacle in your mountainous escapades.
The walk should take about 8 hours with plenty of stops to look at wildlife, Geology and the enjoy the views, weather permitting of course.
Full hill kit is required for this walk including boots, waterproofs, rucksack with an extra layer, hat, gloves, headtorch, first aid kit and enough food and drink for a long day on the hills. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, there are a variety of hotels and hostels in the area, but our favourite has to be Borrowdale Youth Hostel
Cost £50 per person (minimum of 4 required for the event to run), group discounts available.
