Down in Cornwall on a family holiday, and after leaving the rest of the clan surfing at Fistral Beach, Newquay I went off to explore the cliff tops at Pentire Head West and Kelsey Head. I couldn’t believe how many Kestrel’s there were in the area, dozens of them all using the gentle sea breeze to hover and hunt. A few even looked like they were posing for me and I managed to get some cracking shots of this beautiful creature.

Of course you can see Kestrel’s all year around, and all over the UK, it’s just that July in Cornwall was a bit of a Kestrel fest.
